Printed banner design being inspected at a Texas print shop

Services / Design

Photos can't fix a bad logo.

You can shoot the best images in your market and still lose the room to a wordmark somebody made in Canva at midnight in 2019. Design is the other half of the job.

Why It's Here

This is where the marketing brain started.

Before the cameras, Gabe spent almost seven years in house as the only graphic designer on a corporate marketing team. Only designer means you don’t get to specialize. Logos, campaigns, collateral, packaging, signage, ads, and whatever else landed on the desk that week.

That’s also why the Altstadt Brewery campaign that ran in Texas Monthly was our design and our photography. One studio concepted it, shot it, and laid it out. Most businesses have to hire three vendors for that and then referee the differences.

So design isn’t a bolt-on service here. It’s the thing that came first.

Design it once. Design it right.

Graphic Design

What we build.

01

Logo Design

A real wordmark or mark, delivered in every format and lockup you'll actually need: horizontal, stacked, icon, one color, reversed. Starting at $450.

02

Brand Identity Kit

The whole system. Logo suite, color palette with hex and CMYK, typography, usage rules, and a guide so the next person who touches it does not wreck it. Starting at $2,000.

03

Packaging & Labels

Product packaging, labels, cans, bottles, and boxes. Built to print, with real dielines, not a JPEG your printer has to reverse engineer. Starting at $500.

04

Print & Collateral

Brochures, guides, menus, rack cards, signage, banners, trade show graphics, and direct mail. Press ready files, correct bleeds, no surprises at the printer.

05

Ad & Campaign Creative

Static ads, social creative, and print placements built as a set so a campaign looks like a campaign instead of six unrelated posts.

06

Pitch & Sales Collateral

Decks, one sheets, capability statements, and proposals. The stuff that decides deals in rooms we'll never be in.

Web Design

A website that loads, ranks, and closes.

Most small business sites fail on the boring stuff. They’re slow, they’re invisible to search, they read like a brochure, and there’s nowhere obvious to click.

We build sites the way we build everything else: start with who’s buying and what they need to do, then design backward from that. Search and AI visibility are part of the build, not a thing you bolt on later and hope for.

Depending on scope, this runs through the studio or through vetted design and development partners we’ve worked with for years. Either way you deal with us, one scope and one invoice, and you’ll know who’s touching your project.

Web design is quoted per project, because a five page site for a boutique and an ecommerce build with a catalog are not remotely the same job.

Graphic & Web Design

The Part That Matters

You own the design outright.

Design works differently than photography here, and in your favor. Worth understanding before you compare quotes.

Yours. Actually yours.

  • 01

IP transfers to you on full payment

Unlike photo and video, where you receive a license and the studio keeps copyright, design deliverables transfer to you once the invoice is paid. Your logo is your logo.

  • 02

    We keep portfolio rights

The only thing retained is the right to show the work as ours. If you're under NDA and can't have it shown, say so and it stays off everything.

  • 03

    You get working files

Not just flattened PNGs. Vector source, every lockup, every color variant, and print ready exports, so you're never held hostage for a business card.

  • 04

    One agreement covers it

The Graphic Design Services Agreement covers studio-produced and white label subcontracted work alike, so the terms don't change based on who does the work.

  • 05

    Built to survive handoff

Files named and organized so the next designer, printer, or web person can use them without calling us for a translation.

  • 06

    Print gets tested, not assumed

Real dielines, correct bleeds, and CMYK conversions checked before anything goes to press. Reprints cost more than getting it right.

Straight Answers

Design work, answered

What does a logo cost?
Logo design starts at $450 and a full Brand Identity Kit starts at $2,000. The kit is the better buy for most businesses, because a logo on its own does not tell anybody what colors, fonts, or usage rules go with it, which is how brands drift within a year. Packaging design starts at $500 and hourly design work is $75 per hour. Web design and larger print projects are quoted per project.
Do we own the design?
Yes. Intellectual property in design deliverables transfers to you on full payment, which is different from our photo and video work where you receive a license and Gabe Rene LLC retains copyright. Gabe Rene LLC retains only the right to display the work in its portfolio, and even that can be waived for confidential projects.
Do you build websites?
Yes, quoted per project. Depending on scope the build runs through the studio or through design and development partners we have worked with for years, under one scope and one invoice with us. Search and AI visibility are built in rather than added afterward. A five page brochure site and an ecommerce build are very different projects, so there is no list price.
Can you design and shoot the same campaign?
Yes, and it is the main reason to hire this studio over two vendors. The Altstadt Brewery campaign that ran in Texas Monthly was our design and our photography. When the same people concept it, shoot it, and lay it out, nothing gets lost explaining the idea to somebody who was not in the room.
What files do we get?
Vector source files, every lockup and color variant, and print ready exports with correct bleeds and CMYK conversion. You should never have to come back to us just to get a usable file for a business card or a banner.
